My Experience of Gaining Christ in the Full-Time Training, Michael Quiñones

I have experienced more Christ and I have gained Him more in the Full-Time Training (Philippians 3:9). When I was 16, a believer encouraged me to be trained in life, truth, character, and church service, after graduating from college. So, even though I did not know what would happen in the Training, I took that way, the way to be trained. Thus, I finished my studies, I graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at the age of 22. I started the FTT after my college graduation. I do not regret making this decision. Some people considered it a loss, but to me it was a gain.

In this Training I have enjoyed the riches of God's Word by reading the Bible, and through the classes that we take. I am getting a deposit of the truth in God's Word by these classes, and I know that my knowledge of these truths has greatly increased. Also, I have had the opportunity to enjoy the portion of Christ of other trainees that live with me. I have learned to grow in the Lord. Also, I have been able to preach the gospel and contact other dear brothers in Christ, in a way that I did not do before. Even my character has been improved because of the different services and activities that have been assigned to me. I have realized the importance of being diligent and responsible in all activities I have. These requirements are necessary to be a good and useful servant for Him.

Finally, I have seen that gaining Christ and being gained by Christ must be my aspiration. I have to run every day toward the goal (Philippians 3:14). I give thanks to the Lord for giving me the opportunity to be trained in order to serve Him and become a useful slave in His hands. In such a way I have gained Him.
